Day 2 of the 1st IND vs BAN Test witnessed a classic Virat Kohli moment as he get backs to Bangladesh batter Litton Das as Mohammad Siraj bowled him. Indian speedster Siraj and Litton Das were involved in a short brawl before Siraj took his wicket. And when it comes to sledging star Indian batter Virat Kohli cannot be kept far away.
Virat Kohli’s fellow Royal Challenger Bangalore player, Siraj leaves no opportunity to showcase his ‘fast-bowler’ aggression. The incident happened in the 14th over of Bangladesh’s innings. Das, who looked dangerous touch in the previous session, hitting five boundaries to race to 24, was yet to score a run in the three overs of play in the post-Tea session. Siraj, who started India’s charge along with off-spinner R. Ashwin, came running in to start the over. There was nothing special about the first ball of the over which Das had played quite comfortably off the backfoot. Siraj, in his follow-through, had a few words to say to Litton.
Moreover, instead of letting it go, Litton decided to have a charge at Siraj. He had his hands over his ears gesturing “what did you say?”
Later, Siraj took sweet revenge by hitting the deck hard to bring Litton Das’s innings to an end. And like usual, Siraj had his finger on his lips. Virat Kohli, who was standing in the slip position was also seen copying Litton’s hand gesture, as he walked off the field. Backing his bowlers and getting back at the opposition is a classic Virat Kohli reaction, that we all love to see.
