Vinicius Jr Doll Hung From Bridge by Atletico Fans, Brazilian Demands Punishment
Atletico Madrid fans have done it again and this time have taken it too far. In a disturbing showcase of racism, they hung a mannequin wearing jersey of Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr off a bridge in the capital of Spain.

This disturbing scene was mangled with a banner in the colours of red and white of Atletico Madrid over the same bridge, which read the message “Madrid hates Real”.
Both La Liga and Atletico Madrid have condemned this act of vile racism towards the Brazilian star.
Atletico Madrid made an official statement on their website, which said that acts like this were absolutely repugnant, inadmissible, and shame on the society. They also said that their condemnation to any act that attacks the dignity of any person or institution is categorical and unreserved.
Atletico and La Liga condemn racial abuse on Vinicius
Atletico’s statement went on to read that the rivalry between both clubs is at its maximum and so was respect. It said that no individual, whatever their intentions or colours were, could stain the coexistence between different fans.
La Liga governing body also condemned this act of hatred and intimidation against Vinicius Jr, as per their tweet. It also mentioned that they will be pressing for an investigation and seek the most severe sentences for those who were responsible for the vile act.
The Brazilian forward has been the victim of racial abuse ever since the two clubs have come face to face since last year and this act comes right before their Copa del Ret quarterfinals fixture on Thursday.
Vinicius expects punishment from authorities
Vinicius Jr is now reported to be expecting punishment to be imposed by the Spanish authorities against the growing number of hate crimes. He had previously called out La Liga authorities on continuing to do nothing about racial abuse.
A spokesperson for the Real Madrid star has told the sources that Vinicius Jr is aware of the situation but right now is fully concentrated on tonight’s match and that he will be discussing the issue tomorrow with his club [Real Madrid] and legal staff.
However, Vinicius’ stance remains same as before according to his spokesperson and that Vinicius now expected punishments from the authorities and not official statements.
