Sergio Ramos Settles GOAT Debate Between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

Ex-Real Madrid icon Sergio Ramos had previously left the La Liga giants for the French club Paris Saint-Germain back in 2021 July and was found utterly shocked like everyone else when Barcelona legend Lionel Messi had joined him at Paris one month later.

Sergio Ramos settles GOAT debate

After this peculiar experience, every football had expected the relationship between the two iconic rival players, at best, frosty.

However, to everyone’s surprise, both the players very quickly adapted to eachother and put any sort of differences aside and now have formed an extraordinary bromance on the pitch.

After being the teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo for years at the Spanish capital and now spending 18 months playing and training side by side the Argentinian legend, Sergio Ramos has finally decided on who the greatest footballer in history was.

Ramos calls Messi the greatest of all time

Sergio Ramos said in an interview with PSG TV that there was suffering for him for several years while playing against Lionel Messi and that now he was enjoying him [Messi].

“He is the best player football has ever produced,” added Ramos.

It seems that Sergio Ramos has made up his mind that it was the Argentinian world champion who was the greatest of all time.

Many have expected the comments of Ramos to be hurtful towards Ronaldo. However, we cannot put Ramos at fault here because, yes it might be recency bias, but all he is only reflecting what many other football pundits and fans have been saying for years.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner had recently lifted the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup with his Argentinian team and has won everything there is to win for a footballer, and has nothing more to win or prove in his career at the age of 35.
