Argentina’s Sergio Aguero is all set to make a comeback to the arena of football and play for the Ecuadorian club Barcelona, it will be his first football appearance in 15 months since he retired from the sport on expert medical advice.

Aguero has himself confirmed that he will be playing his first football game in 15 months after having “successful medical checks.”

Aguero’s early retirement

Last season, Aguero was forced to go off the pitch in a match against Alaves and was later taken to hospital owing to breathing difficulties. He was visibly struggling in toward the end of first half and had laid down after clashing with an opponent in the penalty area.

Aguero then did return to his feet and went off the pitch with some assistance but was later unable to return to train with his teammates due to medical treatment. He was later diagnosed with a certain heart condition that later led him to declare an early retirement.

Arrhythmia was uncovered by the doctors through medical tests which had forced Aguero to disappointingly terminate his career at the age of 33.
