Real Madrid Sends Back Arda Guler Home from Pre-season Tour Due to Knee Injury

La Liga giants, Real Madrid had made a media-hyped signing this summer transfer window of young talent Arda Guler; however, Guler has reportedly left their pre-season United States party early and has returned to Spain, owing to a knee injury.

Guler, the young Turkish international had previously flown to the Santiago Bernabeu from his previous club Fenerbahce this summer itself and made impressive first impression on the first few training sessions under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the youngster did not take to the pitch in any of the friendly victories played so far by Real Madrid, which were against Manchester United and AC Milan. And now the Los Blancos have made a confirming statement that he has been sent back to Spain due to injury for further diagnosis.

The official statement made by Real Madrid says that their new signing Arda Guler had been the subject of the following tests, and after they were carried out, he was diagnosed with an injur to his internal meniscus of the right knee. And hence, the youngster will be transferred back to Madrid in Spain in few hours so they could continue with specific course of treatment on him.

This injury and statement have made it clear that Guler will not only miss the El Classico pre-season friendly against Barcelona, which they lost 3-0; but also miss the final friendly against Serie A giants, Juventus before the new domestic season finally starts later.

The 18-year-old Turk is a promising young talent who has scored a total of nine senior goals within only two seasons for Fenerbahce and with his quick and impressive form is sure to become a first-time feature as soon as he signed for Real Madrid.

Unfortunately, with the issue of this new knee injury diagnosis, Guler might have to wait until middle of August to make his much-anticipated debut at the Santiago Bernabeu for Madrid.
