PSG More Balanced Without Neymar Says Christophe Galtier Before Bayern Clash

PSG boss Christophe Galtier has stated that his Paris Saint-Germain team are more well-balanced without Neymar being a part of it following his disastrous injury.

However, Galtier has also insisted that his absence would still be felt if not that gravely.

Neymar out for rest of the season with ankle injury

Galtier has finally admitted and revealed how his team are likely to get affected with the injury of Neymar which will likely rule out the Brazilian icon for the remainder of 2022-23 season, as they try and hold on to the Ligue 1 and Champions League title race.

Galtier seems to have agreed with a formation minus Neymar which is likely to optimize and boost the performance of the squad. Galtier also admitted that the absence of the Brazilian would not be replaced that easily in the final third of the pitch.

Christophe Galtier on Neymar’s absence

Right before their huge clash against Bayern Munich for their Champions League round of 16 second leg, Galtier announced that he knew that there had been a debate around the matter, admitting it was a loss clearly, but was the team more balanced as a result, the answer was yes.

“Is it better like this? I will say that having him is better to score goals,” expressed Galtier on Neymar’s injury.

PSG will be entering the pitch with already a deficit on their sheet with their first leg defeat of 1-0 at Parc Des Princes back in February. However, Galtier has been showing confidence on his boys despite Neymar being ruled out.

Galtier has claimed that they had played the first leg of the clash with a rather very diminishing squad.

Galtier has also been seen on putting more focus particularly on iconic Kylian Mbappe and praising his abilities in important big matches. He has insisted that his squad was confident for this key match, which could either make or break their season.

Mbappe had only been “fit enough” to make an appearance in the first leg against Bayern; however, he has already pocketed five stunning goals within three matches ever since, for PSG.
