Ex Barcelona star, Gerard Pique has discussed about his former teammate, Lionel Messi’s future in club football prior to the expiration of his contract with the Ligue 1 club, PSG in three months next season.

The former Barcelona defender has stated that he believed that only his former teammate knew his future and said that the iconic Argentinian would be deciding his future based on his motivation and where he will find himself being the happiest.
Pique continued to state that winning the World Cup, according to him, was a dream to Messi on a personal level and it was the only title the legend had been missing to be considered the greatest of all time.
According to Pique, now everyone around the globe was convinced of that and going forward, everything that Messi decided was to look for where he could be happy.

Pique clarified his opinion that he thought that the most “normal” thing would be if Messi stayed in Europe itself. The Spanish international also hinted a probability for Barcelona being one of the destinations on table for the Messi that could happen.
Pique that Barcelona could be there, and for the fans of the club, the return of Messi on a sentimental level could be amazing, but again it was “his” decision and no matter how much people said anything, there were only his own feelings and motivations to consider.
