The La Liga giants have only made a hurried and short statement to update regarding the injury acquired by Pedri but have not officially declared how long it will take for their talented young kid to return.

The official statement read that FC Barcelona’s Pedri has acquired an injury of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh, in layman’s terms, his hamstring. It continued saying that necessary tests will be conducted to determine the exact nature of his damage.

According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the 20-year-old is set to be out and miss the next 3–4 weeks. This hamstring injury will be ruling him out for a crucial return match in the coming week against United in Old Trafford and multiple other important games.

One of the most important matches that Barcelona will be suffering in the absence of Pedri is the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal game against their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, along with some other games against Almeira, Valencia, and Athletic.

Pedri is most likely be replaced by Sergi Roberto, who had also replaced him previously in the Manchester United game, while on the contrary, Pablo Torre would be looking forward to it as an opportunity to gain some more minutes on the pitch.
