“One of Europe’s Best Striker” Erik Ten Hag bestows great praise on Marcus Rashford

Premier League giants, Manchester United’s boss Erik ten Hag has stated that Marcus Rashford was one currently one of the best strikers in Europe.

This happened Rashford, who is currently in-form, scored his second goal within a week against Leeds United and earned his front a crucial 2-0 victory earlier on Sunday.

Ten Hag calls Rashford Europe’s best striker

Rashford has scored a total of 21 goal across all competitions in the current campaign after scoring a deadlock breaking header in the 80th minute of the match at the Elland Road.

Ten Hag later told the reporters that he [Rashford] was definitely one of the best strikers in Europe and that from the first moment, he was excited to work with the striker. He also admitted thinking that he could get more out of Rashford since he has so many skills.

Ten Hag continued that Rashford had such high potential that he though Rashford could become even better and that he can score more goals because he can score with his right, left, and also with his head.

Rashford has already almost beaten his best goalscoring season in 2019-20, being only one goal short, and still has 15 Premier League matches remaining on his plate.

Ten Hag on Rashford and United’s performance against Leeds

Ten Hag, however, has expressed that he was not completely satisfied with the performance given by the Red devils and thought that they lacked the hostility.

He continued that despite the great atmosphere, great ambience and just like ever rivalry, this was really enjoyable too, and yet he didn’t feel the hostility from the squad.

Ten Hag also admitted that he was always a little more critical and that they had to be more calm early on the game, but if that did not work, they had to get good at the defensive organization and win their battles.

“Until you have the first goal you have to keep doing that, and I think from that moment on there was more composure and the quality on the ball was better,” said the Dutchman.
