Ever since Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr had departed from his former club Barcelona for the Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint Germain back in 2017, he has been in link with making a much-anticipated return to the Camp Nou again during every summer transfer window, and this year is no different.
Neymar to join Barcelona again?
According to the latest reports, the 31-year-old Brazilian icon has been offered by his Parisian club itself to the La Liga champions and it seems that the rumour this time has been around for quite a while.
It had been in the air for a while that Neymar had been offered to the Catalan giants back in June; however, both the technical staff of Barcelona and current head coach Xavi Hernandez had been clearly not interested in getting back the aging player.
As per the sources, it is being claimed that the former Santos champ is being offered to Barcelona once again on a loan deal after PSG has made a public notice of their upcoming shocking deal involving Ousmane Dembele from Barca.
However, if the insiders are to be believed in this matter, nothing has come out of this offer yet again. But the good news for Barca fans is that since Neymar and the Les Parisiens will most likely part ways this summer itself and an opportunity will be given to Barcelona again to take him back.
Xavi not interested in buying Neymar in Barcelona again
Paris Saint-Germain would officially have Neymar tied to the Parc de Frances until 2025 with their contract, but they are willing to get him off their pocket in case a good offer comes along. This might be done to execute their masterplan of building a team around their star player Kylian Mbappe.
Barcelona’s response and standing on the matter doesn’t seem to have changed much from the previous rounds. As per the sources, Xavi and the other staff are aware of the skills that the Brazilian will be bringing to the table and appreciate his caliber brilliance.
PSG offers Neymar to Barcelona again
However, they are also cautious of tampering with the family-like environment that has been newly created in the Camp Nou dressing room among the younger generation of players.
This might have resulted from the fact that despite his brilliance, Neymar does attract some negative controversies and comes with the baggage of possibilities that could hurt the co-existence in the locker room.
Other than all that, one of the major issues which might have been a deciding factor in rejecting to purchase back Neymar is his high fees, considering all the financial fair play trouble that Barcelona is currently under.
