Neymar and Sergio Ramos have Uncertain Future at Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain’s iconic center-back Sergio Ramos is the next player in line who is facing uncertainty with his contract right now.

Sergio Ramos contract extension with PSG

After Lionel Messi, Ramos is another player who will be fighting to negotiate an extension for his contract this coming summer.

Sergio Ramos is currently paid six million euros per every season and will be running out of contract in the summer of 2023 and will be sitting with club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss his future with the club [or without].

According to insider reports, the potential arrival of center-back from Inter Milan, Milan Skriniar could possibly complicated Ramos’ position at the French capital. As per sources, Skriniar has already reached verbal agreements with Paris Saint-Germain.

The ex-Real Madrid icon’s performances for the Ligue 1 giants have been dropping and not been satisfactory enough as expected from him lately for PSG. In his feat season with PSG, injuries proved to be the main reason behind why his season was lost.

In his second campaign, he has proved to be an important player for Christophe Galtier’s squad as the heart of the defense and has a staunch improvement in his matchtime while playing a total of 25 games for the Parisians.

However, all this might still be not enough for the Spanish legend to earn a new deal from PSG.

Neymar’s uncertain future with PSG

On the other hand, Neymar is another key player in PSG who might be at the twilight of his times at PSG and in the final months despite having a contract that takes him until 2025 with the club.

Last summer, there were floating talks after renewal of Kylian Mbappe’s contract which put Neymar on the exit path. This was due to the fact that the club board might want to restructure the club and mostly to get rid of the high salary of the Brazilian.

What complicates the matter is that the Brazilian superstar does not wish to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the moment. Also there are only very few clubs who would be able to afford the high price of the ex-Barcelona star’s contract.

Everything currently is depending on the club’s performance, in case PSG fail to achieve their objectives including the Champions League, changes are inevitable in the squad. That would mean Neymar and Sergio Ramos would be on thin ice too.
