Napoli 5-1 Juventus; Osimhen scores Brace in Napoli’s thumping victory

A spectacular match unfolded in the Maradona Stadium and took the audience by storm when Napoli utterly crushed the 36-times Serie A champions Juventus in a 5-1 squashing defeat.

Napoli destroy Juventus

Napoli currently stand at the top of the table after devastatingly thrashing Juventus across all statistical frontiers of the game, including dominating not only in the scoresheet, but also having an upper hand in ball possession and shots on target.

Victor Osimhen provided the Napoli front with an early lead in the 14th minute of the match with a stunning rebound header which went past Szczesny right into the net. He also later completed his brace in the 65th minute with another stunner.

Napoli continued to thrashed Juventus on fronts and the rain of goals never stopped pouring as Kvaratskhelia extended their lead to 2-0 at the 39th minute.

However, Juventus depressingly had only two shots on target throughout the match, out of which Angel di Maria tried giving their lost cause a final hope in the 42nd minute before the half time and scored the only lone goal from their end throughout the match.

Osimhen scores brace, 12 goals this season

Despite having another full second half at their hands, Juventus couldn’t create any magic and comeback from the trap that Napoli had laid in front of them. Instead, Napoli didn’t stop humiliating the Juves as they kept attacking the already shattered defense.

Three more goals were seen in the second half, all from Napoli, as Amir Rrahmani had the opening goal of second half in the 55th minute, followed the brace completion by Osimhen in 65th minute, and then the last goal, which was just scored for the sake of fun, by Elmas in 72nd minute.

This match has seen Napoli through their fourth victory within the past five matches played and considering what Napoli have seemingly achieved in the current season is nothing short of sensational.

Napoli have scored a total of 10 goals within 2 matches against Ajax, have scored 4 against Premier League giants, Liverpool, and now have scored 5 goals in a single match against Juventus, whose currently situation is shaky both on and off pitch. This could be a history in making for the Spalletti led club.
