Moises Caicedo Signs New Deal with Brighton Until 2027

Moises Caicedo, the Brighton midfielder has finally signed his new contract taking him until 2027 with the club, along with an option for another year. Apparently it has no exit clause.

The Ecuador international had previously enquired about leaving the club back in January transfer window after receiving multiple bids from Arsenal.

However, Brighton had apparently rejected all the offers from Arsenal which were worth £70m according to the reports, and Caicedo had to take some time off till the window had closed.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi has stated that this was fantastic news for the club, fans, himself, and most importantly for the midfielder Moises himself. He stated that it will be making them stronger as they moved forward for the targets set on the pitch.

Caicedo made his debut against Tottenham during the 2022 FA Cup for Brighton after joining them back in 2021 from Independiente del Valle.

After his transfer interest became public, he expressed his feelings and desire to leave the club through social media post saying that he was proud to bring a record transfer fee for Brighton, allowing them to reinvest it and help the club to continue their successful run.

Moises also stated in the post that the fans will always be in his heart since they have taken him into their hearts, and urged the fans to understand why he wanted to take up the stunning opportunity.

However, Caicedo has now seemed to changed his mind and has committed to Brighton his future.
