Man Utd Jadon Sancho Back Training With Squad After Long Absence

Premier League giants, Manchester United’s player Jadon Sancho has returned to his first training with the team after disappearing on United since the resuming of the season after the World Cup break.

Jadon Sancho to return after being “unfit”

Jadon was deemed not fit enough and was ultimately left out of the squad for the Red Devils but now he has made his return as a winger after an extensive individual training programme.

Sancho’s last match was back in October 2022 against Chelsea which ended in a 1-1 draw leaving the club supporters in confusion about the whereabouts of the player. He had also not returned after the World Cup as he was part of an individual training to improve his game fitness.

According to the sources, last week he had returned to Carrington owing to his individual training programme after spending his World Cup break in Netherlands. It was believed by ten Hag and the winger himself that it would be beneficial to be away from training ground to have a reset.

Finally now he is back to train with the rest of the squad and will soon return to action. This is also good news for United since they are in an excellent form and have maintained a nine-match win streak and with their next Crystal Palace clash providing opportunity to rank 2nd in the PL table.

Ten Hag calls Jadon Sancho “unfit” to play

Ten Hag had earlier explained in December why this was necessary for Sancho to undergo a training where he also suggested that Sancho wasn’t fit for match any more.

He said that first they did not see him in the last games for United, which made him not in the “right status”  and “right fitness state” to play, and that now he was on an individual training programme they were planning to see him back soon after he finishes it.

“He’s not fit enough. Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood. Now he’s on a physical programme and our aim is to get him back as quickly as possible,” said ten Hag.

Ten Hag also mentioned that Sancho was good pre-season and also when the league started he had some good games against Liverpool, Leicester, and Arsenal.

“After we got a drop of level and what happens sometimes you don’t know why, or what is causing it. That is what we’re doing now, trying to research and now we try to get him back there. It’s a combination of physical but also mentally.”

However, it is yet to be seen when exactly Sancho makes his return with the team on pitch after the reports have claimed him to be in full training with the squad.
