Man Utd and Crystal Palace Charged by FA for 20-Man Brawl and Casemiro Red Card

Manchester United and Crystal Palace have both been charged by the FA after their mass brawl in Premier League clash between them earlier on Saturday.

The fiasco involved all the 20 players on pitch occurring later in the second half of the match where United acquired a 2-1 victory at their home ground. But they also had to sacrifice Casemiro who was shown a direct red card for chocking Palace midfielder Will Hughes during the brawl.

Man Utd and Crystal Palace fined by FA

Both the clubs have now been charged to pay a fine for their failure of discipline among the players and failure to ensure that they conduct themselves in an orderly manner and refraining from committing provocative behavior.

Manchester United has also been accused of failure of ensuring that their player was not involved in any violent actions.

FA official statement on United and Palace

The FA passed an official statement which read that Manchester United FC and Crystal Palace FC were being charged for following a mass confrontation among their respective players on the 67th minute of the Premier league game which happened on 4th February 2013.

The FA continued to say that it was alleged that both the clubs had a failure in ensuring that their players didn’t conduct themselves in provocative manner and maintained an orderly fashion. It was also being said that Man Utd failed to ensure its player did not commit any violent act.

The FA continued that: “Manchester United FC and Crystal Palace FC have until Monday 13 February 2023 to respond.”
