Kevin de Bruyne Mocks Arsenal Fans as they Throw Beer Bottles on him after Man City win

Kevin de Bruyne showed his sneaky side to the Arsenal fans after the Manchester City midfielder became a victim of Arsenal fans’ unsportly behaviour of throwing bottles and plastic glasses at the Belgian player.

This incident occurred after Manchester City’s victory over Mikel Arteta’s side. The Belgian midfielder had scored the opening goal for the sky blues right in the first half itself.

Despite the Gunners had scored an equalizer using a penalty by Bukayo Saka, the sky blues dominated yet again in the second half after jack Grealish put city in the lead again after 72nd minute of the game.

However, just 10 minutes later, de Bruyne took charge again and thrashed into the Arsenal’s defense only to find Erling Haaland to seal City’s victory of 3-1 and put Guarduola’s squad at the top of the Premier League table, dethroning Arsenal.

In a not-so-surprising occurrence, when de Bruyne was subbed out by Kalvin Philips right 3 minutes before the final whistle, he was target of a brutal attack of bottle and glasses by the Arsenal fans which were thrown into his way.

The Belgian avoided being hit by one of them as he found way to walk around the pitch, while playfully smiling back at the Arsenal home supporters.

With a crucial win at his pocket for City, de Bruyne made the situation much lighter and went to share images of one of the glasses thrown his way with a caption reading “Beer anyone?”, which was followed by a “Thanks!”

Despite City sitting pretty at the top of the Prem table after dethroning the Gunners, Arsenal still have another match on their hand to close in the gap. The two giants are all set to clash again in April at the Etihad Stadium.

In a postmatch interview, Pep Guardiola stated that if they [Arsenal] win the game at hand, they will be at the top of the league again.

He continued to state that what Arsenal did was incredible, but they were still there in the scene and that the league will only be decided in the last 8 or 10 matches.
