Juventus prohibits Pogba from attending France vs Argentina World Cup Final in Qatar

Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United and France midfielder, has reportedly been banned from attending the FIFA World Cup 2022 Finals despite having planned to fly over to Qatar for the show.

The current Juventus midfielder has missed out on France’s excellent World Cup campaign due to an injury he sustained just a few weeks after arriving in Turin at the end of his Old Trafford contract. He even underwent surgery to be fit and available for the global showpiece, but it gave no results.

The 29-year-old has offered his prayers and support for the French team, and after France reached a historic back-to-back final of the World Cup against Argentina, he also sent words of support in the form of a wholesome video message.

“Together! I am with you. I give you all my strength. All my strength has this group there. That’s my band, that’s my guys,” said Pogba.

Pogba had plans to attend the FIFA World Cup grand finale in person on Qatari soil at the Lusail Stadium despite missing out on the tournament as a player.

Juventus puts ban on Pogba’s travel plan with French President

This is because French president Emmanuel Macron has insisted on bringing the French players absent from the squad owing to their injuries to the Middle East for the final showdown, where France will battle to bring home their second consecutive title.

However, his current club, the Italian giants Juventus, is not too thrilled about their injured playmaker’s plans to visit Qatar for a long journey while he is unfit and still recovering. Hence, Podga might face barriers from the club side if he still decides to fly to Qatar despite his desire.

Pogba, the 2018 World Cup winner, has had a slower recovery than expected from the knee injury he picked up. He is yet to return to the training grounds with his teammates in Italy, resulting in the Italian giants being reluctant to allow anything that might delay Pogba’s return any further and might jeopardize their season more.

The Bayern Munich left-back Lucas Hernandez is going through a similar situation after being injured in France’s inaugural match of the World Cup. Just like Pogba, Hernandez has also undergone knee surgery.
