Inaki Williams 251-Game Consecutive Appearance Record for Bilbao Comes to End

Inaki William is going to miss a game for the Athletic Club for the very first time in 252 consecutive La Liga games. His incredible record will be coming to an end with that.

Inaki Williams has been one of the best players of the Athletic Club for the past few years and has become a key player and an integral part of the squad during his time on pitch.

Inaki Williams record 251 consecutive match appearance ends

His stunning run with the club has him appearing for Athletic in every single La Liga match for the club ever since 7th April 2016 in their game against Malaga.

Previously in this season he had went off the pitch with an injury and his ridiculous record was threatening to come to an end at 236 matches, however, he appeared for the club six days later in his 237th game.

Williams had even netted two goals for the Athletic Club back in Thursday evening in their Copa del Rey quarterfinals clash against Valencia where they emerged victorious.

Inaki Williams out with injury

Williams was seen getting subbed off the pitch in the second half of their game, after which in a span of three days, he was unable to make into the starting XI for their faceoff with Celta Vigo.

His record is sure to come to end because there is no chance of him appearing later in the game as a substitute because Williams has apparently not even made the bench for this match.
