The tally of premier league players accused of sexual assault adds another name as Mason Greenwood’s girlfriend levels some series allegations against the English midfielder.
Harriet Robson took to social media to share some of the gruesome photographs of the assault by Greenwood. She also posted an audio clip of the player forcing himself on her. The caption on one of her photos read: “to everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me.”
The couple first met in school and are said to be dating since then. However, they ended their relationship before Greenwood’s maiden England call up in 2020.
Since these posts went online, they have gone viral and circulated on the internet, demanding that the player be suspended and jailed.
Manchester United are yet to comment on Mason Greenwood
This circulation, in return, forced Manchester United to come out with a statement. The club said that they are not willing to add anything from their side as they continue investigating the issue.
“We are aware of the images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind,” the club said in their statement.
The case is currently being investigated by the Great Manchester Police. According to the Mirror, they have already started looking into the matter. They said, “Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media in a statement issued by them. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
