FIFA Investigating Salt Bae’s “Undue Access” At World Cup Finals

FIFA’s association is currently investigating about how the social media personality and chef, Salt Bae, had acquired “undue access” to the pitch of Lusail Stadium in Qatar, after the grand finale of FIFA World Cup 2022.

He had crashed Argentina’s winning celebration uninvited after their nerve-wrecking finals against France, he was seen pestering an annoyed Lionel Messi and his family for photos and posing with several othetr Argentinian players.

Salt Bae to be investigated by FIFA

Salt Bae, who goes by the real name Nusret Gokce, was spotted breaking the golden rule of FIFA, while he held, smacked, and kissed the original winner’s trophy, which is approximately worth over 17 million USD.

This Turkish social media personality was heavily called out, criticized, and ‘cancelled’ on all platforms after he grabbing the legendary Lionel Messi’s arm twice chasing clout and trying to grab unwanted attention.

He was later also seen clicking pictures with Angel di Maria and Lisandro Martinez, and later was seen testing patience of another Argentinian player after he started biting his winner’s gold medal for the sake of posing for a photo.

The FIFA rules clearly state that the World Cup trophy can only be touched and held by the winning teams, past or present, the FIFA officials, and the heads of states.

“Following a review, FIFA has been establishing how individuals gained undue access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at the Lusail Stadium on December 18,” said a FIFA representative to the BBC.

“The appropriate internal action will be taken.”

The 39-year-old chef owns chains of luxury restaurants worldwide, which includes places like the Beverly Hills in LA and swish Knightsbridge in London.
