Erling Haaland Breaks Records With Fourth Hat-Trick in Premier League

Manchester City superstar, Erling Haaland has shattered yet another record and created many new ones as he netted his fourth hat-trick of the ongoing Premier League season in his clash earlier against Wolves.

The Norwegian beast has been straight up out of control ever since he has made his move from Borussia Dortmund to the sky blues and has become the fastest to score his fourth career hat-trick the Premier League, coming within only 19 games.

Fastest to score four hattricks in Premier League

This record of the fastest four hat-tricks in the history of Premier League was previously held by Ruud van Nistelrooy. The former Manchester United legend had scored his first four hat-tricks within 65 games, which was previously the shortest games taken to do so [before Haaland happened].

This proves how overwhelmingly stunning Erling Haaland has been since he has achieved the feat in 46 less games than the previous record-holder. Haaland’s four hat-tricks has come against Wolves, Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest.

One of the most celebrated strikers, the ex-Barcelona star Luis Suarez was able to achieve the same feat of four hat-tricks in 81 long games, while Haaland has done that in 19 games only. This is also Haaland’s 16th overall career hat-trick.

Haaland also has more career Premier League hat-tricks than football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who has only three hat-tricks within seven long seasons with Manchester United in two different spells. On the contrary, it is only January with the rest of the season left in Haaland’s first ever PL season.

Equalled Last year’s Golden Boot tally

The 22-year-old Norwegian has now established himself as the king of Premier League’s Golden Boot race and is the favourite to win the individual trophy. With his whooping 25 goals in 19 appearances, Haaland has already surpassed last year’s Golden Boot winners, Salah and Son Heung-Min.

Haaland’s current goal tally in this season is also enough to claim the Golden Boot across four previous seasons and surprisingly, its only January with Haaland having 18 more games left in this season to extend his records.
