Manchester United boss, Erik Ten Hag has made the revelation about the return of Christian Eriksen after having an international break.

After suffering a long-term ankle injury during their FA Cup clash after a monstrous tackle from Andy Carroll, finally Eriksen seems to be back.

United had emerged victorious in that particular match with a 3-1 win but at the cost of the injury of Eriksen, which made him leave the Old Trafford in crutches.

Erik Ten Hag, consequently had to sign a replacement for the Denmark player and went on to sign the midfielder from Bayern Munich, Marcel Sabitzer with a loan deal for a season.

Ten Hag, in order to ensure the club supporters, has revealed on Eriksen’s journey to recovery from the injury and has stated that he would definitely be playing on pitch before the current season was over.

“I think he [Eriksen] will play [again in 2022/23],” said the Dutchman.

However, ten Hag was quick to follow it up by saying he could not tell an expected date but he thought the progress was okay in the rehab, and all was going according to the plan, so they could “definitely” see him.

Erik Ten Hag also stated that despite Eriksen still being part of the group, his main focus at the moment was only to get back to the squad as soon as possible since United needed all the players badly.
