Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen a very calculated timing of the break in PL to spill all beans in the fiery tell-all interview with the British journalist Piers Morgan. The entire team of Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag are very disappointed with Cristiano’s statements about the group and its executives.

According to reports:

‘The club only found out about the interview as they were preparing to fly back from London on Sunday evening following their 2-1 win over Fulham and they do not understand why he has said what he has said.

‘They are hugely disappointed that he would disrespect the club, his manager and team-mates in this way and United are likely to consider all their options now regarding the player.

‘Ronaldo was told on Thursday that he would not be in the starting XI against Fulham but he would have been in the squad. He told the club he was ill.’

Ronaldo’s (in)famous interview with Piers Morgan

Ronaldo, the highest goal-scorer in international football, made the most significant revelation in this interview that he feels he is being forced out of the club by the senior chairholders at Old Trafford. He went on to vocalize that he feels “betrayed” by his treatment at Man United and that he has now become a “Black Sheep” amidst the forces accumulating against him for a long time.

The 37-year-old attacker dropped the explosives about him witnessing first-hand how his game-time diminished with every match he played this season, substituted repetitively by those favored by Ten Hag. He also admitted in he has no respect left for Ten Hag.

“Yes, I feel betrayed and I feel that some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year, too,” he said.

The sensational forward has had only four starts in the Premier League this season which stamps on the accusation that Ten Hag has decided that Ronaldo’s chances to play as a regular starter for the club are now in the trenches.

Ronaldo on Erik Ten Haag

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” Ronaldo added.

In his outburst against United and Ten Hag, there was also the piercing mention of the flourishing days of Sir Alex Ferguson. Ronaldo has found a staunch ally in the legendary Scot, who was his manager for 6 years.

“He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. Everyone knows. The people who don’t see that… it’s because they don’t want to see; they are blind”, he said.

Perfectly timed interview by Ronaldo?

The United front became aware of this calculated launch in a celebratory mood while on their flight to Manchester following their victory over Fulham in their last game before the players took off for Qatar. They were said to be disappointed and upset over the timing and manner of its deliverance.

The relationship between Ronaldo and United seems scarred permanently now. With domestic football going on a break, Ten Hag is not due to speak with the press for a while. With the bridge wholly burned, he will probably leave the club in January after the player’s 5th and, most probably, last World Cup.
