The league was originally found in 1956, which is two years post the beginning of Professional Football. And since then it has come a long long way. Currently, Eredivisie is considered the 6th biggest league in the whole of Europe.

Overview of Points Table of Eredivisie (Premier Division) 2022-2023
Out of the Blues, it is Feyenoord who are leading the charge in the 2022-2023 season of Eredivisie. They sit on top of the points table of Premier Division with 42 points to their name in 19 games. They drew their previous game which has given Alkamar a real chance to overtake them in this season.
AZ Alkmar are now just 2 point behind the league leaders. They managed to win their last league game and are posing a real threat to the top ranked team on the Eredivisie points table.
The season keeps getting worse for Ajax who drop to the fifth position on the table. They are overtaken by PSV and FCTwente. Both these teams have 35 and 34 points respectively from their 17 games, while Ajax has just 33.
As we draw towards the later part of the season Ajax will be hoping to have a change in fortune soon.
If they can pull it through it will be interesting to see who emerges as the top scorer in the Eredivisie 2022/23.
