Elon Musk interested in Buying Manchester United

Ahead of the soft deadline bids for the sale of the Premier League club, Manchester United, the tech-billionaire is rumoured to be keeping his sight on the Glazers’ demands for the Old Trafford’s players.

Elon Musk, who has an estimated personal net worth of around £157 billion ($190bn), however, has not made any official declarations about his rumoured interest in a potential takeover of the Red Devils.

However, according to the sources from Daily Mail, Musk is keen. Musk has also made certain hints in the past about his interest in buying Manchester United after he stated on Twitter back in August 2022 when there was an ongoing protest against the Glazers.

Musk joked about buying United in 2022

Musk said that he was “buying Manchester United ur welcome”. Although, these comments about buying the Premier League club was meant to be humorous and sarcastic, the Billionaire later also expressed that if it were ever any team he would like to buy, it would be Manchester United.

Elon Musk added in the same statement that as a kid, Manchester United had been his favourite.

Other than the dozers of interested parties, including the Qatari and Saudi Arabian consortiums who are potential bidders for the club, Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is Britain’s richest man and is a United supporter, has also shown his keen interest in buying the club, but in a lesser sum than expected by Glazers.
