Don’t Want to be “Bench Warmer”: Harry Maguire Sends Message to Erik Ten Hag

Harry Maguire has made statements to make it clear that he does not want to be bench warmer anymore at Manchester United.

Manchester United has been in great form lately with their 3-1 victory against Reading in their fourth round of FA Cup earlier on Sunday. Casemiro’s brace and Fred’s lovely goal sealed their victory.

Harry Maguire came to start for United for the first time since 3-0 against Bournemouth and he had a lot to say about how he does not want to stay in this predicament for long. He told the sources that he was a 29-year-old player who has never been in this position in his career.

He continued that even though this was also a part of the parcel of football, he still not want to get used to this position. He said that he was working hard every day, he was pushing, training, and whenever the chance comes, he would take it.

Maguire also stated that he knew that at this club [United] they needed competition for places and that they had some top center-backs at United, hence he thought that from now until the end of the season they were all good.

Maguire promised that whenever he is called upon he will be ready and said that he feels that he has looked after himself, and as it was two and a half weeks since his last start, he was pleased with his display since he has been working hard in training.

“It was nice to be out there helping the lads and I’m ready when my chance comes,” said Harry.

Harry Maguire also acknowledged that the players who have been playing have done well and hence when he gets an opportunity, he needed to take it and make sure he brought a win to prove his worth.
