“Don’t Use my Name to Attack Cristiano:” Bruno Fernandes Slams Fans Who Misinterpret His Comments

Manchester United’s Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes had quickly hit back on the controversial claims that he had indirectly attacked ex-United legend, Cristiano Ronaldo after United’s amazing but controversial Derby victory.

After their 2-1 victory against their arch rivals Manchester City, Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes had mentioned that his the Red Devils were only now looking like a “proper team” does.

However, after the media had started nit-picking and tearing his words into something it was not, the mid-fielder was bound to clarify his words via Instagram story where he wrote. That he knew it was difficult to Manchester United doing well but he did not have anything to say about their team other than good things.

He then went on to warn everyone to not use his name to attack Cristiano. He said that Ronaldo was a part of their team for half of the season and as he had earlier said in many interviews, everyone ever since Liverpool has been doing amazing and a proper team which is driving results.

Fernandes had earlier scored a controversial offside goal which was allowed to stand leading to their victory and then said that, “now we are playing as a team. A few months ago, some players played alone, for themselves.”

His statement had later gone viral when fans and media started overanalysing his words and started connecting them with the former United icon Cristiano Ronaldo, who had earlier left for Al-Nassr after a bombshell interview exposing United’s management.
