India celebrates another triumph at the ISSF Junior World Cup as Dhanush Srikanth secures the gold medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event. With a stellar performance in Suhl, Germany, Srikanth’s remarkable display of skill and precision has brought India its third gold medal in the competition.

Dominating Performance in the Final

During the 24-shot final, Dhanush Srikanth showcased his dominance by posting an outstanding score of 249.4. The Swede, Pontus Kallin, who won the silver medal, trailed behind Srikanth by a significant margin of 1.3 points. Frenchman Romain Aufrere claimed the bronze medal.

India’s success extended beyond the men’s air rifle event. In the skeet mixed team competition, the duo of Harmehar Lally and Sanjana Sood displayed exceptional skills and determination. They emerged victorious in a thrilling shoot-off against their Swedish opponents, David Jonsson and Felicia Ros, securing a well-deserved bronze medal for India.

Dhanush Srikanth, who secured the sixth position in the qualifiers with a score of 628.4, displayed his expertise and took an early lead in the final. Pratham Bhadana, who finished fifth in the qualifiers with a score of 628.7, narrowly missed out on a medal with a fourth-place finish. Abhinav Shaw, the winner of the air rifle mixed team gold, secured the final spot in the finals with a score of 626.7 but finished in seventh place.

The skeet mixed team event witnessed an exhilarating competition among two Indian teams. Ritu Raj Bundela and Raiza Dhillon secured the seventh position in the qualifiers, while Harmehar Lally and Sanjana Sood showcased exceptional teamwork, earning a place in the bronze-medal match with a fourth-place finish. The thrilling battle against the Swedish pair of David Jonsson and Felicia Ros resulted in a tie after 48 shots. A captivating shoot-off followed, where Sanjana Sood’s flawless performance capitalized on Felicia’s missed target, ultimately securing the bronze medal for India.
