Indian allrounder Deepak Hooda has been in sublime form recently. And has a unique record to his name to show for it.

Hooda now holds the record for most international wins by a player, ever since his international debut in men’s cricket. He registered his 16th victory in the Indian colours on Saturday, as India thrashed Zimbabwe in the second ODI.

Deepak Hooda’s unique record of most victory since debut

Deepak Hooda made his international debut for India earlier this year. He marked his presence for the Men in Blue in the home series against West Indies. Since then, he has played around 7 ODIs and 9 T20Is and is yet to lose a game for his international side.

With the 16th victory in international cricket, Hooda broke the record of Romania’s Satvik Nadigotla. He had 15 wins on the trot for his international side. In the third position is South Africa’s David Miller, who has 13 victories to his name.

India defeats Zimbabwe to clinch another series win in 2022

The Indian team in the second match of the series gave the hosts a hard time. Winning the toss, they decided to bowl first yet again. And courtesy to some excellent bowling by Shardul Thakur, and other bowlers, Zimbabwe failed to score a massive total.

They got all out for just 161 runs, and India was able to chase that in just 25.4 overs. Dhawan and Gill gave India a good start on top and were followed up by some finishing touches by Sanju Samson, who scored 43 off 39 balls.

With this victory, India continues their dominance ahead of the Asia Cup. They have not lost a single series since the 2021 T20 World Cup. And are looking hot favourites heading into the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup after that.
