According to the schedule announced on 17th of February, Chennai Super Kings will play the first game of the Indian Premier League in an away fixture against the defending champions Gujarat Giants.
This will be a tough encounter for both the teams. Chennai Super Kings is always a team to beat in IPL. And doing so in the very first game? That too in your title defense and in front of your own crowd? Will be tough ask for Gujarat Giants.
With Hardik Pandya as captain, it will be interesting to see how the Giants will keep their composure in front of a jam packed 100,000 crowd at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Overview of CSK IPL 2023 schedule
So, the wait is finally over and we have an idea of what the schedule for Chennai Super Kings might look like. At least in the first part of the season.
CSK, like all other teams is set to play 14 games in total, out of which 7 games will be played at home, and 7 games will be played away. For now, we have the list of Chennai Super King’s first 7 matches, and their first home game is set to be on the third of April against Lucknow Super Giants.
