Cristiano Ronaldo to Captain Saudi Against Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain

Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to captain Al-Nassr–Al-Hilal starer team and lead them into their epic battle on January 19th against the Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain during a Riyadh Season Cup game.

The Chairman of General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al Sheikh, had made an announce on his own social media earlier by posting a clip in which the ex-Real Madrid legend could be seen getting the captain’s armband.

This friendly match which is expected to be “beyond imagination” will be featuring a combined team of Saudi rival club Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal against the French club, PSG.

Al-Nassr and AL-Hilal are known fierce rivals of each other and Turki Al Sheikh had wrote on Twitter referring to this famous rivalry that he hoped the days will see the rivalry forgotten for 2 hours and that they will all become the Riyadh Season Cup.

The much-anticipated friendly match currently has the global attention because it could be the last ever time to see the football legends of our generation, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing against each other in their eternal rivalry.

This match in Riyadh will also be the first time ever the two icons will face each other on-pitch since Barcelona had beat Juventus 3-0 back in 2020 December.

A global auction is being conducted which offers an ultimate pass to the January 19th match. A certain Saudi businessman is currently leading the race as the highest bidder for a mammoth Dh10 million, the bidding had earlier begun at nearly Dh2 million.

The finals winner of the auction will be winning the right to attend the winner’s ceremony post-match and also gain the right to enter the dressing rooms of the respective teams, especially to meet the two of the greatest players of all time.
