Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic Out for Months With Injury Says Graham Potter

Premier League giants, Chelsea’s boss Graham Potter has recently provided some updates about winger Christian Pulisic’s injury that he had acquired during Chelsea’s defeat to rivals, Manchester City in their FA Cup clash.

Christian Pulisic injury details

This injury has happened right when things were starting to smoothen for Christian Pulisic. This had so far been a rough season for the American forward and now he has suffered what could be a heavy setback.

Just when Pulisic was set to start his third consecutive match for the blues against Manchester City on Thursday, he was called off pitch only 23 minutes into the game after acquiring a knee injury after receiving a heavy tackle from John Stones while shooting. Chelsea went on to lose the match and were knocked out of the tournament in the process.

Pulisic out on injury for at least 2 months

Initially he was being expected to miss a couple of weeks and be back, but now the according to latest updates by Potter, it doesn’t look good for the American. Giving an update on Pulisic, Aubameyang, and Sterling together, Graham Potter said earlier that,

“Pierre is fine and he will be in the squad,” Graham continued, “Christian is a couple of months we think. Raheem is less, hopefully less than that.”

After having a strong World Cup campaign with the United States national team, this setback suffered by Pulisic could be unfortunate for his career and might put him out of play for several months.

This injury has also come at a terrible time for Potter’s Chelsea because their list of injured players has been growing since forever and is in fact now longer than players who are available to play during each gameday.

Sterling had also picked up injury on his hamstring in the same game and has no estimated time of return just like Pulisic. Chelsea is currently running with empty pockets in their attack.
