Chelsea Linked with Luis Enrique as Potential Replacement of Graham Potter; Know Details
Chelsea football club’s poor performances this season under Graham Potter could result in the manager of losing his job next season. And if indeed the board decide to sack him, they are reportedly preparing to make a proposal to former Spain coach Luis Enrique to take over as head coach.
Chelsea considering Enrique as Potter’s replacement
Lucho has already been linked with the Brazil job but he has clearly stated that he is looking to join a club and after he stated this Atletico Madrid have been interested in him as a possible replacement for Diego Simeone.
Current coach Graham Potter only arrived from Brighton in September,2022 following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, but results haven’t been good lately despite the huge cash injection provided by the board to the manager.
Graham Potter Under Pressure
In fact, the Blues have invested more than 400 Million Euros this campaign on new players in order to try to reach the Champions League next season. These players include the likes of Mudryk, Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez and many others.
At first, Potter was performing good as he had gone 9 games unbeaten while in charge of Chelsea but recently his team has only won 2 of their last 11 matches and these results have made them drop down to 9th in the table and 10 points of the UCL spots. It is said that Todd Boehly is happy putting the long-term vision in Graham’s hands but if the results don’t change then he could be forced to sack the manager.
