Casemiro Names “Best Player” at Manchester United Before Carabao Cup Final

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has namedropped the “best player” according to him at Manchester United right before the finals of the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United in the upcoming Sunday.

The Brazilian had transferred to the Old Trafford from Real Madrid previous summer and has been shining ever since with his stunning performances and has played a crucial part in aiding ten Hag’s team for title race across four tournaments.

The 31-year-old has also contributed immensely in the Red Devils’ victory against La Liga giants Barcelona in the knockout playoffs of the Europa League. He will also be looking forward to winning the trophy at the Wembley on Sunday.

Casemiro names Bruno Fernandes as best player at Man Utd

Casemiro has now revealed who he thinks is the “best player” at Manchester United and has namedropped Bruno Fernandes as the one who he had watched before he signed his contract with United.

Casemiro stated that before coming to United he would turn on the television to watch their matches and thought Fernandes was the best player on pitch.

He went on to say that Fernandes was someone who helped the team both up front and in the midfield and was a key part of the transition, making him the best player there.

The Portuguese international had earlier joined United from Sporting CP back in January 2020 and will have an opportunity to get his hands on a major trophy, the Carabao Cup, on Sunday.

Casemiro on Erik Ten Hag before Carabao Cup finals

Casemiro also talked about United boss Erik ten Hag saying that it was crucial for a manager to be obsessed with winning and accepting nothing less than that, and that was who ten Hag, demanding a lot from the players and striving for perfection.

Casemiro also expressed that winning titles was the most important thing. However, he also stated that it was hard to win titles at the Premier League since all games were tough here, but either ways he wanted to win titles and important games here [PL].

Casemiro says Premier League tougher than La Liga

The Brazilian claimed the Premier League to be the most difficult league in the world and expressed how it was different from La Liga in sense of the intensity of the matches, and said that games were much more difficult with higher number of transitions in the PL.

“In Spain, they usually prefer tiki-taka football as they call it there. Here there are more transitions, more attacking moves,” stated Casemiro while comparing PL and La Liga.
