The Louisville forward has been exceptionally known for being ever-present for the national team of Brazil ever since her debut for them back in 2020. When the 23-year-old forward had entered the pitch earlier, she only has six goals in a total of 27 appearances for her country.

Nobody had expected that Borges will be the one to immortalize her name in her World Cup debut match, which was also the opening match for Brazil in the tournament.

Borges first netted the ball 19 minutes into the match itself with a stunning backpost header, while her second came in the 39th minute as a tap in, her third goal was the sensational hit which put Brazil 4 goals ahead of Panama and became the winning goal for the Selecao.
