Bayern Munich’s CEO and former goalkeeper Oliver Kahn spoke on the matter saying that what Neuer said in the two interviews about Toni Tapalovic’s sacking did not do any justice to him [Neuer] as the captain of Bayern Munich, neither did it do any justice to the values of FC Bayern.

Kahn also stated that Neuer’s statements were also timed very improperly since Bayern were facing some tough and important matches ahead.

On the other hand, Bayern club President Herbert Hainer also said that for the club it was incomprehensible and disappointing that Neuer did not made any direct communication with the club and instead chose the press to express his views.

“I’m more disappointed than angry because I thought that Manuel, who is a great player and who has been here a long time, would discuss those issues with us first,” said Herbert Hainer.
