Barcelona Femeni are making history after becoming the first ever football team to have won 50 consecutive league matches.

Barcelona make history with 50 consecutive wins

They have achieved this incredible feat after they won their clash against Levante Las Planas 7-0 earlier this Wednesday. What’s more stunning is the fact that the club is yet to lose a single match in their home stadium ever since it opened back in 2019.

The Spanish club has been dominating ever since June 2021 when they lost 4-3 in an away game to Atletico Madrid. And ever since the club has had an impeccable record of scoring 247 goals, averaging five goals per game, on the contrary they have conceded only 19 goals.

Barcelona have won every single league game in the last season and are currently the unbeaten team in the ongoing campaign under their head coach Jonatan Giraldez. They currently sit at the top of the table after playing two less matches.

Barcelona out of women’s champions league

However, despite their incredible league performance, Barcelona have lost in the Women’s Champions League this season. They were beaten easily by Bayern Munich back in December, but they have not let the defeat affect their league form this year.

Barceloa Femeni, consequently have been magnetting huge crowds, especially last year in March they made history after 91,553 fans had sold out the Camp Nou, the largest football stadium currently in Europe to watch the second leg quarterfinal between Barcelona and Real Madrid of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Barcelona field ineligible player

This was for history books because the attendance to the match was the biggest ever watch a women’s football game, where Barcelona won 5-2 against their rivals, Madrid.

Barcelona Femeni are currently under fire with the Royal Spanish Football federation for fielding an ineligible player in their Copa de la Reina match this season.
