Ancelotti Says “These Games Aren’t for Tchouameni” after Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over Espanyol

After Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Espanyol previously, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti finally made statements to the media while analyzing the match.

Ancelotti stated that they felt good about the performance and that despite not starting well, Espanyol’s goal did not affect them and they were able to recover well in time and control the game in the second half.

Carlo Ancelotti on Tchouameni after blunder against Espanyol

Ancelotti pointed out that they had more movement in the front than they usually did these days and it helped the Madrid front create more chances than usual. He also mentioned that because of the way Espanyol play, they needed more wide players.

Aurelien Tchoameni was one of those who got to start the match and made a blunder by missing the ball which led to the opening goal at the 8th minute. Ancelotti analyzed his performance and stated that he did quite well despite losing a couple of balls.

Ancelotti explained that Tchouaméni’s speciality was his defensive nature and that this was not the bet type of game opponent he would prove against, especially when they needed to manage the ball more. He stated that the defender would not get the best version of himself in these matches.

Real Madrid 3-1 Espanyol, Vinicius, Asensio, Militao goals lead victory

Questions were being raised about Vinicius getting the second-most yellow cards among all forwards in the La Liga, that is eight, Ancelotti quickly clarified that many of them were for his protests and that today his attitude was very good, didn’t protest and he needed to continue the same.

Real Madrid claimed their victory of 3-1 after fighting back a one goal lead at the Santiago Bernabeu over Espanyol earlier. The hosts seem to have finally returned back to their victory days after a winless streak right before their potentially most crucial week.

Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao and Marco Asensio’s goals aided the Los Blancos with a push in their confidence with the victory right before their clash against Liverpool and Barcelona ahead.
