Eredivisie giants, Ajax have announced the shocking news of the sacking of their head coach, Alfred Schreuder.

Ajax sack Alfred Schreuder

It has not been too long since coach Alfred Schreuder has been at the Dutch club, in fact, he has been fired after spending only half a season long period with the Dutch powerhouse.

According to the latest reports, Alfred has been kicked out of Ajax after he went on a seven match long stint without acquiring even a single victory for the Eredivisie club.

Ajax are four-time European Champions and Schreuder had taken charge of the club after Erik ten Hag had left the Dutch giants for the Premier League club, Manchester United, to continue the legacy of the club.

Ajax on seven match winless streak

Ajax had quoted that there were back to back disappointing results for the club and there was also lack of development within the team after the Schreuder-led team could only manage a draw of 1-1 against Volendam previously on Thursday.

Ajax’s club director Edwin van der Sar made official statements following the sacking of Alfred that it was a very painful but necessary decision for the club.

He also mentioned about how they had faith in Alfred to change how things were but it had become clear to them that he would not be able to turn the tides for them.

Ajax currently stand as the defending champions of the Eredivisie and stand at the fifth position, being a total seven points behind the table toppers, Feyenoord.

However, following the firing of Schreuder, no replacement for him as the head coach was announced immediately.
