Watch- Nitish Rana, Hrithik Shokeen engaged in heated argument, Suryakumar Yadav intervenes

The Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders may not have a rivalry as celebrated as the one between MI and CSK, but they do share a history of intense matches. The two teams have faced each other 32 times in the IPL, and each match has been a display of intense competition between the players.

Watch: Nitish Rana and Hritik Shokeen in argument

During the match on Sunday at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, KKR’s captain Nitish Rana was involved in a heated argument with Mumbai bowler Hrithik Shokeen. The incident occurred in the ninth over of the match after KKR had been put to bat by MI’s stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

Rana’s Dismissal Leads to Heated Argument

Rana charged down the track against a delivery from Hrithik, but miscued it completely, resulting in his dismissal. As Rana was making his way towards the KKR dugout, Hrithik had a go at him. Rana lost his temper and charged at the MI bowler, leading to a furious argument. The KKR skipper was seen angrily talking and pointing towards Hrithik before turning around to walk towards the dugout.

Stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav rushed in to intervene and pulled Rana away from Hrithik to calm the situation. It was a timely intervention that prevented the argument from escalating further. The incident served as a reminder of the intensity and enthusiasm among players to get the better of the other side, which can often lead to such situations.

Arjun Tendulkar Makes Debut for MI

Earlier in the match, Arjun Tendulkar made his long-awaited debut in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians. The left-arm pacer was first picked by the franchise in 2021, and his debut was eagerly anticipated. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was rested due to a stomach bug but was included in the Impact Player list.

The incident between Rana and Hrithik may have been intense, but it is a reflection of the fierce competition that exists in the IPL. It is also a reminder that players are passionate about their game and will do whatever it takes to get their team to victory.
