Tottenham likely To Sack Antonio Conte soon; Start hunt for New Coach

English club Tottenham Hotspurs has begun its search for a new manager with immediate effect as they have decided to part ways to Italian mastermind Antonio Conte, owing to a string of losses recently and an UCL exit to AC Milan, with the Italian team defeated Spurs narrowly, with an aggregate of 1-0 victory over both legs.

Speculations were increasing about the continuity of Conte’s contract which is about to expire by the end of the season. But, recent results have strengthened this speculations as Conte had a dig at his own players rather than the Spurs board.

The Italian was unable to look forward with the club’s investment and the plannings in the future. But in the recent past, he plunged the club into a statutory crisis as he took a dig at his players after his team squandered an opportunity to bag all three points against Southampton, surrendering a lead of 3-1 to draw the tie 3-3.

Clear from the beginning itself about his intentions

Conte had cleared the air with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy earlier. But owing to the string of poor performances in the recent past, he seems to be infuriated with the players too.

He has been digging deep about the trophy drought of the London team, saying that the same story is prevalent for more than 20 years as they have to nothing to show for in their trophy cabinet. They have changed 16 managers within this time frame, but failed to get a single hold on any trophy.

Pushing for a top four finish

Conte’s idea was to spring upon a do-or-die with the final few fixtures approaching in the league. Trying for a top four finish, he might have pressurized his side to get a fruitful result in every match. A frustrating campaign for him, could end up abruptly in a more heart-wrenching manner as Daniel Levy seemed to hold a video conference, discussing about Conte’s sacking from the club. He is aware about the outburst that has been prevalent over the last few weeks.

Heavyweights unavailable

With an international break on the fray, top flight managers like Pochettino, Luis Enrique will only prefer to join the club once the pre-season resumes. Ryan Mason, who is in Conte’ management cluster, will seem to be the caretaker of the club, once Conte leaves.
