Tottenham Hotspurs vs Chelsea: Match prediction, team news, line-ups, results, head-to-head, venue, date, time, where to watch

Chelsea and Tottenham renew rivalry in a late weekend showdown on Monday as the London rivals rekindle their fighting spirit in one of the intense clashes of the season. Chelsea would look to return to winning ways after their horrific outing against Brentford last weekend, when they were shown the exit door by the Bees 2-0, as Spurs would look to maintain their unbeaten momentum at the top of the table.

A nail-biting fixture

Chelsea and Tottenham always promise to be one of the exciting encounters of the season, with the London rivals squaring off against each other. One of the important clashes this season, with the Blues reeling on the 11th position and Spurs enjoying Ange-ball at the top position, these two sides would look to rekindle their age-old memories of exasperating fixtures, with neither side giving an inch to the other. But, the stories seem to be different for both sides, as they have seen contrasting fates in this season. Chelsea, with former PSG and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino are left strangled on the lower half of the table, garnering a meagre 12 points from stipulated 10 games, amassing only three victories. They are enduring several injuries, as some of their top players are on the sidelines and have not played a single game since weeks, as a result of which, they are subjected to surmounting defeats against unexpected opponents.

As things stand for Spurs, they are having their best season so far. Owing to the likes of the thundering duo of Maddison and Son, coupled with strict vigil from former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, the North London side is bossing the Premier League, and has remained unbeaten with 26 points from 10 games, thus leading the charge. They would be coming on the back of an away victory against Crystal Palace, which indeed would provide an impetus to their upcoming match against the Blues. With several youngsters like Johnson, Spurs are looking to be the team to beat this season, as they are enjoying their latest exhibition of “Ange-ball”.

Tottenham Hotspurs vs Chelsea: Team News

With an intense mouth-watering clash on the cards, both tacticians would look to name their strongest squads. Pochettino would be returning to Spurs stadium after his sacking four years ago. He would be on the other side of the ground this time, as it promises to be a fiery encounter between the London sides.

For Spurs, Ange had mentioned in his interview that he would be giving left-back Destiny Udogie to be half-fit for this game, but seasoned left-back Ben Davies would be absent due to a recent knock, which could pose as a concern for the Australian. In their last game, Bissouma was lucky enough to escape a close shave of yellow card, and he is expected to start in the midfield alongside Pape Sarr, Uruguayan star Bentancur was seen on the field for a late cameo in their victory against Crystal Palace, and might get an introduction late in to the game. Youngster Johnson would look to make his mark on the left attack, currently competing with Richarlison.

As for the other side, Ukraine star Mudryk could be seen in full throttle after being on training days before the game. Their latest recruit over the summer transfer window from RB Leipzig, Nkunku looks to recover completely by the end of November, but this game could be a bit early for the Frenchman. Same can be reported about another young talent Romeo Lavia, who is also nursing an injury over few weeks and Ben Chilwell, as the seasoned England star would be working against time to get back on field.
