Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 West Ham: Hammers come from behind to stun Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur suffered another defeat in the Premier League as West Ham came from behind to score two goals as Spurs extend their winless run.

Postecoglu’s side took an early 1-0 lead after Cristian Romero scored in the 11th minute after returning from his red card suspension. Spurs didn’t give any chance to West Ham in the first half to comeback into the game.

Mohammed Kudus’ goal was ruled out for offside, Lucas Paqueta sent his header wide as the visitors got a foothold just before the break.

In the second half, Jarrod Bowen scored the equaliser for West Ham after a rebound fell into his path. Ward-Prowse then extended West Ham’s lead in 74th minute after a mistake by Udogie’s back pass.

David Moyes’ side were clinical in the second half, and their top scorer Bowen, made sure they worked hard to secure all three points.

Tottenham drop points again against London rivals West Ham

The Hammers have won 10 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, only Brighton (11) and Liverpool (15) have more points.

As for Spurs, this is their fifth game without a win. They have now lost 16 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, more than any other side.

They are now the first team in Premier League history to lead 1-0 in five successive games without winning any of them and have taken only one point from the last 15 on offer.

And just as against Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa, they only had themselves to blame.

Tottenham remain in fifth place with 27 points and have not won a game since October. Their last win came against Crystal Palace.

They will face Newcastle United this weekend, who are seventh in the table, just one point behind Spurs.
