Sergio Ramos breaks another incredible record with boyhood club Sevilla on his debut against La Palmas in La Liga.
The Spanish defender’s contract expired with Ligue 1 champions PSG this summer, and was approached by MLS and Saudi Pro League clubs in the transfer window.
However, Ramos stated that he did not want money and decided to sign for his boyhood club for far less salary than what the Saudi clubs were offering.
Injuries are a major concern for the veteran centre-back as he is already in the latter stages of his career. Moreover, when he was at PSG, he suffered from injuries, which prevented him from playing most of the games.

However, Ramos finally made his La Liga return in a 1-0 win over La Palmas last weekend at the Ramos Sanchez Pizjuan. Moreover, he kept his place in the starting XI when they faced Lens in the Champions League opener this midweek.
His appearance against Lens saw him overtake former Real Madrid teammate Raul Gonzalez as the Spanish outfield player with the most UEFA European Cup/Champions League starts with 138.
Furthermore, he also moved ahead of Raul by wrapping up the most La Liga minutes in history, with 44,076.
Sevilla were handed a draw against Lens, and they will play against PSV and Arsenal next. So, they will have to fight hard to secure a place in the round of 16.
