Sean Dyche: Dele Alli is ‘miles away’ from Everton return

Everton boss Sean Dyche has admitted that Dele Alli is still miles away from playing a role in the squad as he continues his recovery from a injury.

The former Tottenham player spent last season on loan at Besiktas, where he made 15 appearances in all competitions. Moreover, recently Dele opened up about his traumatic childhood experience on Gary Neville’s ‘The Overlap’.

He also admitted that he spent six weeks in a rehabilitation facility in America, having suffered from a sleeping pill addiction. However, Everton manager has reaffirmed he is in a much better place personally.

Sean Dyche reveals when Dele will return

Sean Dyche said in an interview: “He is still not over his injury yet. He is well in himself but he is not over his injury. We are miles away from that (thinking about his role in the squad), he is just getting himself right again.

“He is feeling good and now we will be working with him, on top of that, to make sure the injury is right. But it is still going to be a bit of time yet.”

Can Dele Alli return to his best form at Everton?

The footballing world hope that Dele Alli will return to his best form. Moreover, when he was at Spurs he starred as one of their best players alongside Harry Kane.

The 27-year-old has taken a lot of courage to open up about his past trauma publicly. Fans have also changed their perspective regarding his past failure in recent seasons.

The English midfielder still has a lot of years to revive his career. Moreover, he can be a very influential player in Dyche’s Everton side as he would have plenty of technically gifted players alongside him.

Alli will have the freedom to roam around in the midfield, which he can easily do. Moreover, if both he and Dominic Calvert-Lewin remain fit for the season, they can create a partnership similar to what he created at Tottenham Hotspurs with Kane.
