There was a moment before the start of the game when the Youngster got emotional during India’s national anthem. Opting to bat first India scored 202 runs on a difficult wicket courtesy of a maiden T20I century from the bat of Yashasvi Jaiswal helping his team register a 23 run victory on their way to the Semi Final.
Jaiswal became the youngest Indian to score a T20I century during the Asian Games 2023 quarterfinal at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou on Tuesday. Jaiswal, at 21 years nine months and 13 days, broke the record previously set by Shubman Gill, who hammered a hundred against New Zealand at 23 years and 146 days.
