Sai Kishore gets emotional on his debut for India in the Asian games quarter final against Nepal

It was a day to remember for Sai Kishore as the Tamil Nadu based spinner made his international debut for India against Nepal in the Asian Games quarter final on Tuesday October 3. There was a moment before the start of the game when the Youngster got emotional during India’s national anthem. The video spread like wildfire on social media, with fans expressing how happy they were for the domestic star. Even Dinesh Karthik took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate Sai Kishore on the accomplishment.

Reward for Hard work

Karthik, taking to social media, called Sai Kishore’s India cap a reward for the hard work he has done over the years. “God has his ways of giving back to people who work hard. This unbelievable player @saik_99 who has DOMINATED domestic cricket with white ball is an absolute superstar and I couldn’t be happier for him. Woke up in the morning and when I saw his name in the 11, I was emotional seeing it.

You want some people to do well, he was always on the top of my list. The way he’s improved his batting tells you all about him, he was literally a STROKELESS wonder, and from there he’s absolutely transformed into someone who can be relied upon in any format I can keep speaking about him but for now I’m just so happy to see him become an INDIAN cricketer and no one can ever take that away from him. Go well Sai,” he wrote.

Magnificent Jaiswal

Opting to bat first India scored 202 runs on a difficult wicket courtesy of a maiden T20I century from the bat of Yashasvi Jaiswal helping his team register a 23 run victory on their way to the Semi Final.

Jaiswal became the youngest Indian to score a T20I century during the Asian Games 2023 quarterfinal at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou on Tuesday. Jaiswal, at 21 years nine months and 13 days, broke the record previously set by Shubman Gill, who hammered a hundred against New Zealand at 23 years and 146 days.
