Rodrygo signs new contract with Real Madrid until 2028

Brazilian star Rodrygo Goes signs a new contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028.

The winger also has a mammoth €1 Billion release clause, which is a usual amount for Real Madrid’s star players these days. Rodrygo’s previous deal was set to expire in the summer of 2025, so Los Blancos decided to move quickly with his contract extension.

Despite not having a good start this season, Real Madrid decided to give him a new contract as the club trusted his potential.

Rodrygo’s teammate Vinicius Jr has also extended his contract recently with the club. He has signed a deal until 2027. Both Rodrygo and Vinicius had reached an agreement about extending their contracts with the club months ago but decided to wait a little more before making it official.

Carlo Ancelotti and his staff have put a lot of faith in him after Karim Benzema’s departure. The club have no doubts about his quality and see him as a top player for the present and the future.

The club are also ready to extend Camavinga, Militao and Valverde’s current deals and are planning to announce more contract extensions over the next few weeks.
