Pep Guardiola plans to leave Man City in 2025

Pep Guardiola plans to leave Man City after his contract expires in 2025. Guardiola would have spent nine years at City by the time his contract ends with them.

The Catalan joined Manchester City in 2016 after leaving Bayern Munich. He signed a three-year deal with City, and after winning the Premier League in 2017-18, he extended his stay until 2021.

In 2020, Guardiola signed a two-year contract that extended his stay until 2023. However, last November he committed his future with City until 2025, after signing a two-year deal.

After winning numerous titles at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Guardiola also managed to win titles at Man City as well.

The ex-Barcelona manager has made Man City one of the most feared sides in Europe. They also won their first-ever Champions League after beating Inter 1-0 in Istanbul.

Guardiola was ready to leave Man City in 2021 before the Champions League final. As, Barcelona president Joan Laporta approached the Spaniard to leave the club.

Moreover Guardiola was also eager to return, but City lost the final to Chelsea, and Guardiola ruled out the move.

Although, a move is not impossible as he has a good relationship with Laporta, and if things don’t go as planned with Xavi, he may replace him.

Will Pep manage a club in Italy or France in 2025?

Moving to France or Italy could also be appealing for Guardiola. As he has already won titles in Spain, Germany and England.

No manager has won trophies in Europe’s top five leagues. Achieving a feat like this would be appealing for Pep.

PSG will look to bring Guardiola in France as they are yet to win a Champions League. The French club will be tempted to bring Guardiola to win the Champions League.

Managing a National team could also be a possibility for Man City manager, but he still has to do a lot at club level. It will be intriguing to see which club he will join in 2025.
