Pedri ruled Out Of The El Classico, confirms Barcelona

On Sunday, FC Barcelona, the Catalan football giants, will face off against the reigning European champions, Real Madrid, in a highly anticipated match that holds great importance for Carlo Ancelotti’s team as they attempt to close the gap in the points table. While Real Madrid has not been in top form in the league, having already dropped points in recent fixtures, Barcelona has lost only two games and has been performing exceptionally well this season.

Perdi to not feature in El Classico

Unfortunately, FC Barcelona will be without the services of Pedri, a 20-year-old Spaniard who is still recovering from a hamstring injury. Xavi explained in an interview that they did not want to take any risks with Pedri’s fitness, as he was not feeling 100% during training the previous day. The team wants him to rest and recover properly, as they do not want to lose him for an extended period due to a potential relapse of the injury.

In a pre-match interview, coach Xavi Hernandez shared his thoughts on the game, recognizing Real Madrid’s strength and physicality. He believes that the match will be closely contested, with both teams having an equal chance of winning. Winning this game for Madrid is crucial as it would reduce the points gap between them and the Catalans to only six.

Barcelona’s defense has been rock-solid throughout the season, but they face a challenging task against the likes of Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema. Initially, it was believed that Benzema would not play in the Classico, but Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in a post-match interview that he will indeed feature in the game. Ancelotti also emphasized the need for his team to perform their best in all aspects of the game to secure a win.
