Pat Cummins could miss India series After playing the Final Ashes Test with a suspected Broken Wrist
Australia’s captain Pat Cummins, who played the fifth Ashes Test with a suspected broken wrist, may not play in the three-match ODI series against India next month.
Cummins’ left wrist injury is still being treated, according to Cricket Australia.
The ODI series, which is set to start on September 22 in Mohali, will see the lads from Down Under travel to India.
The “Sydney Morning Herald” reports that “two sources with knowledge of the matter but not authorized to speak publicly say medical staff have not ruled out a possible fracture.”

The final Ashes Test at the Oval last week began with the Australian pace spearhead suffering a wrist injury. when the injury did not appear to affect Cummins’ bowling, the skipper’s anguish when batting was obvious. He had played the rest of the Test while wearing a wrist brace.
Cummins was supposed to take a break after playing six Tests in just two months, including the World Test Championship final against India.
The teams for Australia’s future white-ball assignments, which include tours of South Africa and India, are most likely to be revealed by CA the following week.
In Cummins’ absence, Mitchell Marsh is anticipated to take the lead. The all-rounder is also a candidate to lead Australia in the T20 World Cup.
Earlier this year, Australia’s star batter Steve Smith served as the team’s captain while Cummins was away in India.
Starting on August 30, Australia will play three T20Is and five ODIs against South Africa before going to India for the ODIs.
